Objective: A journey into the heart of the Windsor requires a look into what it means for anything to survive centuries without losing momentum. How someone can replicate the Windsor's physical values and principles into one's life metaphysically.
The core of my capstone lay within the Windsor chair (history, value, tradition, principles, nature, etc.), and the philosophy of self-overcoming. The Windsor chair is a durable, ancient form that has yet to be brought fully into the contemporary world. To accomplish the unifying of these two concepts, physical and metaphysical, I will guide the journey based on my newly discovered values and principles through the philosophies of Nietzsche. Nietzsche's most lasting philosophy was for man to be able to create his own values and rise above his peers as an idol to look up to. While designing my chair I will read "Beyond Good & Evil" by Nietzsche, I believe this will help in designing a new world view for myself, as well as signifying the beginning of a new set of principles and values for the Windsor vernacular. In completing this task I will be able to extract notable characteristics from the Windsor and apply it to forms other than the chair.
Goal: By the end of the first semester, of my Capstone year, I will have a fully developed Windsor chair mock-up, and an outlook on life that reflects the Windsor chair's durable, ancient form. In April of semester two I will have revised my Windsor form and world view while also adding two other pieces that relate to the chair's notable characteristics.

The pictures are of the mind map and the words I chose to represent my Capstone project.

Also, during this week I worked on my concept container.
